Caged Vintage Glass Marble Necklace - Hot Off The Bench

Here's another one of TP's old glass marbles that I've upcycled in this necklace design.  This one is a beautiful crimson red with a tiny bit of swirling (it's a darker red in person - red is so hard to capture with my camera) and again I've used the Tiffany solder technique.  It was fun to make and I'll be listing it soon in our Etsy shop.

Pink and Orange Colour Combination

It's probably not often thought of as a colour combination that works, but I absolutely love the colour combination of pink and orange.  I think it's a stunning combination, a bit bold, cheerful, reminds me of summer, a mood booster - and colour does affect your mood.  If you mixed the two colours together you would get pink.....and I love pink too.  I look to nature to find colour pallettes to work with and sometimes I just have to open my back door.  These are the fall berries of Euonymus fortunei.  A happy bit of colour in my fall garden.

Visiting Dragonfly - Autumn Meadowhawk

I had the pleasure of this little visitor yesterday afternoon - although he didn't stay around for long.  I think this is a male Autumn Meadowhawk.  He is a smaller dragonfly with a red body and iridescent wings.  He rested on my knee for close to a minute then flew away.  It was a nice calming visit with nature that I really enjoyed.

Flowing Water Quote
