Copper and Blue Glass Bead Dangle Earrings

I've been playing with copper again and made these pretties.  There are a number of shades of blue that work well with copper and this is one of them.  In going through my bead stash I came across these blue glass lentil shape beads - there were two, so of course I made earrings.  I'll be listing them in our Etsy shop in the new year.

Pink and Orange Colour Combination

It's probably not often thought of as a colour combination that works, but I absolutely love the colour combination of pink and orange.  I think it's a stunning combination, a bit bold, cheerful, reminds me of summer, a mood booster - and colour does affect your mood.  If you mixed the two colours together you would get pink.....and I love pink too.  I look to nature to find colour pallettes to work with and sometimes I just have to open my back door.  These are the fall berries of Euonymus fortunei.  A happy bit of colour in my fall garden.

Chunky Carnelian Nugget Bracelet

Chunky statement jewelry never went out of fashion. Some women love a fun, bold fashion bracelet like this bracelet that I've adorned with carnelian nuggets, Czech glass beads and Karen Hill Tribe silver charms. You can see more pics here.

Chubby Deformed Carrot From My Garden

This chubby little guy has quite the "outie belly button". It appears that I may need to alter my garden soil next planting season and perhaps not plant the seeds so densely, which I've done.  Soil that is too compact and seeds planted to close together do not allow carrots to grow straight.  But they sure are interesting to look at.

Vintage 1960s Mid Length White Nylon Gloves For Women

Gloves were once a staple in a women's wardrobe.  Now, because of the show Bridgerton, apparently they are a trending item.  So, what was once old is new again.  Although, for some women gloves have never gone out of style because they love everything vintage.   Well, for the women out there that have a love of vintage, these pretties are listed in our Etsy Shop.  These are late 50s early 60s white decorative nylon lace gloves that were made in Japan.  Take a peek.

August Bike Ride

Well, it certainly has been a long time since I've posted something here.  I just haven't wanted to.  I've had a strong urge to hibernate and/or withdraw since covid, Ukraine, world craziness and house renovations.  Anyway, the other day, TP and I finally got out for a bike ride this summer and it was a great ride.  I have an old HTC phone so the picture quality isn't the best, but I have a couple to post anyway.  The temperature was perfect and since it was mid week there were only a few people out on the millennium trail.  It was a peaceful ride as we passed by a newly plowed hayfield..... .....and row after row of tall corn stalks.  I don't know the name of this type of cloud, but they added to the enjoyment of the ride. The humidity has passed, the evenings are cooler, but summer is still here.  Ah, but the crickets are out and some of them are loud. “The crickets felt it was their duty to warn everybody that summertime cannot last forever.” ―E.B.
