Thrifting And Found Vintage 1960s Dusty Pink Glove & Head Scarf Set

Last week I was out thrifting and came across a very pretty 1960s vintage dusty pink glove and scarf set.  They were boxed and appear to have never been used - a great find!  They were also at the bottom of a crowded  glass counter in a corner - but I spotted them! The nylon gloves and semi sheer scarf are embellished with machine embroidered heart shaped clover - very feminine chic.  I initially thought that the long oblong shaped scarf was just a long oblong shape but was thrilled to discover that it opens up to be a hooded head scarf.  This is a great set for a special formal event, to recreate old hollywood glamour or just for the love of vintage.

You never know what you're going to find at a thrift store.

Pink and Orange Colour Combination

It's probably not often thought of as a colour combination that works, but I absolutely love the colour combination of pink and orange.  I think it's a stunning combination, a bit bold, cheerful, reminds me of summer, a mood booster - and colour does affect your mood.  If you mixed the two colours together you would get pink.....and I love pink too.  I look to nature to find colour pallettes to work with and sometimes I just have to open my back door.  These are the fall berries of Euonymus fortunei.  A happy bit of colour in my fall garden.

Interesting Moss Growing In My Garden

I like an interesting garden, and formal in design doesn't appeal to me.  So, I was excited to discover this unusual type of moss (to me) growing bedside my patio along with my creeping thyme.  One little patch reminds me of very fine broccoli sprouts and the other a juniper ground cover.  It's happily growing and adds a little bit interest to my garden which I enjoy.
