Peridot Tree of Life Necklace

I made another tree of life necklace - this one is made with bronze wire.  Bronze wire is a stiffer wire to work with - a lot stiffer than copper.  The colour of bronze is a lovely warm gold that will gradually acquire a brownish patina.  For this particular piece I used tiny peridot stone chips.  I really enjoy making these pendant and I'm sure that I'll be making more - and with bronze - even though my fingers were sore at the end of the project.  Now I need to decide if I'll list it on Etsy or start a dedicated section for these pieces here on my site.  Or, just mix them in with my other necklaces. At the moment I can't decide which...

Anyway, here are some photos of the pendant being made and the finished product.

Pink and Orange Colour Combination

It's probably not often thought of as a colour combination that works, but I absolutely love the colour combination of pink and orange.  I think it's a stunning combination, a bit bold, cheerful, reminds me of summer, a mood booster - and colour does affect your mood.  If you mixed the two colours together you would get pink.....and I love pink too.  I look to nature to find colour pallettes to work with and sometimes I just have to open my back door.  These are the fall berries of Euonymus fortunei.  A happy bit of colour in my fall garden.

Copper and Blue Glass Bead Dangle Earrings

I've been playing with copper again and made these pretties.  There are a number of shades of blue that work well with copper and this is one of them.  In going through my bead stash I came across these blue glass lentil shape beads - there were two, so of course I made earrings.  I'll be listing them in our Etsy shop in the new year.

Chunky Carnelian Nugget Bracelet

Chunky statement jewelry never went out of fashion. Some women love a fun, bold fashion bracelet like this bracelet that I've adorned with carnelian nuggets, Czech glass beads and Karen Hill Tribe silver charms. You can see more pics here.
