"Pointing The Way" print by Tarmo Peters
Pointing The Way Print

With respect to the descendants of the Walsh and Kenny families, wherever they may be today.

Two headstones from the 1800's and two windows at the back of a nice church: an effective visual pairing, whatever your beliefs may be.  What didn't work was the eavestrough, the motion-sensor light, the shingles, the second floor, etc.  A simpler story could be told without all of these distractions, hence the gradual metamorphosis of the back wall into a "heavenly" sky.  And thus the metaphor (we're in to mega metas here) of a church building acting as a directional way station for beings in transition.

On this day, when nobody was watching, this small corner of the world acknowledged the passing of some early settlers.  The ground was appropriately frosty and the sky appropriately inviting.
