Singled Out - b/w with color
The B/W and color versions (click here and here) of Patti's picture show two different interpretations of this brief moment when the sun found a small hole in the forest canopy to light up what looks like an American Beech. By selectively adding color to the B/W image, a third story emerges: growth potential in the right circumstances. Even though the tree lost many branches in its striving to break out of the gloom, a couple remain where the sun manages to peek through on a regular basis. Praise in conjunction with opportunity? A school of management thinking?
