Leaves a Trail
One day in the fall, a pile of leaves fell overnight due to a sudden drop in the temperature. Because it had been warmer for some time before this, the leaves never developed the range of colors you like to see with maples. The end result was everything looking yellow gold. The process of correcting this over-abundance of one color led (by various twists and turns) to a desaturated look that implied zombie leaves. From there it was a short leap to the concept that a small collective of not-quite-dead leaves had found some respite in a dracena plant and were now drawing sustenance from it. A few brave folks were still trying to reach this safe haven by walking over a boxwood, trying to avoid their zombie adversaries.
OK, that's weird.
But bright, cheery color in a sea of desaturation has other interpretations. Over to you.
