Important Facts about our Prints

  1. Everybody's monitor shows colors slightly differently.  Please consider that when gauging your own reaction to the images.  We may not have meant for the blue to look like purple.  But then again, we may have.  Are you confused and/or annoyed yet?  Why not go back to looking at the pictures - you'll feel better.  Or you could buy something and feel even better still.
  2. Prints are made with an Epson Pro 3800 using their archival quality K3 inks, which means that many, many years from now, people will find this print you bought and say something like “Wow, that’s how things looked back in the olden days”.
  3. We work with two standard sizes of paper: 8.5” x 11” and 13” x 19” but can also go up to 17” x 22”.  Even images from earlier years that started at lower resolutions than today's 8, 10 or 12 megapixel standards, can still look spectacular at the larger sizes.
  4. While the paper sizes are as mentioned, please note that the actual image will be smaller and have at least half an inch of border for matting purposes.
  5. Our current favourite paper is Ilford Galerie Gold Fibre Silk for a satin/semi-gloss, wide dynamic range look and feel.  However, we also use Velvet Fine Art and Ultrasmooth Fine Art from Epson for prints that are more suited to a matte finish.  These papers have a nice hand feel but have a slightly reduced dynamic range.  This means that colors may not appear quite as vibrant, which is what some pictures need anyway.

  7. Prints are signed on the back along with the title and printing date.  If you have issues (and who doesn't these days) send us a note as above.
