Cold Track Rusty
Cold Track Rusty

If you're in the mood to be cold and lonely or just want to remind yourself of that time you and your friends had a few beers taking the "shortcut", then this image is a must.  Put it on the wall in your study.  Or, next to the neon "cold beer" sign in your rec room.  At times you may have forgotten about that drunken night but, if it's any consolation or comfort, rest assured that someone did see what you did there beside the tracks, in the bushes, in the moonlight.  They haven't forgotten.  And they'll be in touch soon.

Getting back to reality (it's hard sometimes, isn't it?), the great part about this picture is the way the black slash of the right side track draws the eye to the overpass on the horizon.  Because of the wide-angle lens, so many other lines all move towards the same point.  Unfortunately, this great advantage is mitigated to a small degree by the fact that the lens itself didn't do as great a job of rendering the details as we would have liked.  But the picture is about mood and not accuracy.  Have another beer and be happy.  Or cold and lonely.  Whatever.
